The Lincoln County Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 81-36 victory over Troy at home. The victory was just what Lincoln County needed coming off of a 76-45 defeat in their prior contest.
Lincoln County had a senior duo take command as Tristan Butts scored 22 points along with seven assists and three steals and Braden Casazza dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Jacob Lane was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Lincoln County pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Troy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will take on the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Ignatius will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Montana Rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Lions are ranked 43rd). As for Troy, they will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
