On Wednesday, it was close, but Pelham capped 2023 with a 46-44 win over Manchester Memorial.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was NyAsia McKelvey, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. McKelvey set a new season high mark in blocks with three. The team also got some help courtesy of Torle Adumene, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The victory got Pelham back to even at 2-2. As for Manchester Memorial, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Pelham will be playing at home against Sanborn Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Hampshire (Sanborn Regional is ranked 72nd, while Pelham is ranked 52nd). Manchester Memorial won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Trinity at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. Trinity comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
