The Chelsea Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The match between Chelsea and Lynn English wasn't particularly close, with Chelsea falling 78-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (61), Chelsea still had to take the loss.
Lynn English got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Louis Ledesma out in front who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Ledesma pulled down eight or more rebounds. Denzell Guillen was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six assists.
Chelsea's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lynn English, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chelsea will face off against Lynn Classical at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lynn English, they will head out on the road to face off against Malden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Malden will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Lynn English is ranked 72nd).
