Central has been on the road for eight straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Selma Bears at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Monday.
Last Monday, it was a hard-fought game, but Central had to settle for a 47-44 loss against Dinuba.
Central's loss came about despite a quality game from Na'Jae Stevenson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Branden Ezell, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Hanford scored an imposing 62 points last Tuesday, Selma still came out on top. Selma walked away with a 70-62 win over Hanford. Given Selma's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 351st, while Hanford is ranked 858th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Selma, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3.
Central beat Selma 68-56 in their previous meeting back in February. Does Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Selma turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
