The Roma Gladiators lost against the Los Fresnos Falcons back in December of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Roma was beaten by Los Fresnos 77-34. Roma was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-13.
Los Fresnos' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gio Galvan, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. The contest was Galvan's 22nd in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jj Salazar, who scored 19 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Roma's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-12. As for Los Fresnos, their win bumped their record up to 18-5.
Roma will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Nixon at 3:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Los Fresnos will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against United South at 2:00 p.m. on December 29th.
