Evangel Christian had won 18 straight games dating back to last season and Ben Bugnar did his part to make it 19 on Thursday. The Lightning blew past the East Central HomeSchool Patriots 74-35 with plenty of help from Bugnar, who went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.6 points per game.

Despite the loss, East Central HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Gage Spicer, who posted nine points along with five boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Dungan, who earned eight points.

Evangel Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for East Central HomeSchool, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Evangel Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-45 win against Wiregrass on the 5th. As for East Central HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to square off against Restoration Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Central HomeSchool's defense better be ready for this one: Restoration Academy has averaged an impressive 58.1 points per game this season.
