Western Dubuque will take on Solon in each of the teams' fifth playoff matchup on Thursday. Averaging 41.50 points per game, the Western Dubuque squad has been an offensive juggernaut in the playoffs, so hopefully Solon's defense is prepared for a test.
Western Dubuque earned some more postseason success in their contest last week. They were the clear victors by a 48-14 margin over Lewis Central.
Solon faced Sergeant Bluff-Luton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Spartans came out on top against Sergeant Bluff-Luton by a score of 43-36.
Everything came up roses for Western Dubuque against Solon when the two teams last met in last October as the team secured a 48-13 win. The Bobcats' victory shoved the Spartans out of the playoffs, so expect the team to have a target on their back in this one.
