While losing is never fun, East Forsyth can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Sequoyah is ranked 20th).
Milanni Abdus-salaam was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds for Sequoyah. The game was Abdus-salaam's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carly Bass, who scored 16 points.
East Forsyth's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sequoyah, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
East Forsyth will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sequoyah, they will head out on the road to face off against Cherokee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
