The Oswego Indians will be playing at home against the Chase County Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Oswego was fully in charge, breezing past Cedar Vale/Dexter 56-8 on the road. The victory was just what Oswego needed coming off of a 52-15 loss in their prior match.
Josh Hutchinson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 183 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Kelly, who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Meanwhile, Chase County humbled Madison/Hamilton with a 56-8 victory. The win was just what Chase County needed coming off of a 52-16 defeat in their prior matchup.
Brock Griffin was on fire: he rushed for 267 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 15.7 yards per carry. Griffin was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards. Luke Budke was another key contributor, rushing for 83 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Their wins bumped Oswego to 4-4 and Chase County to 5-3.
