This season hasn't been kind to The Leonard Lancers, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 41-22 to Royal Palm Beach. Leonard was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Royal Palm Beach apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Leonard's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ronari Wilkins, who picked up 115 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Jordan Souther who threw for 183 yards and two touchdowns. Wilkins is on a roll when it comes to receiving yards, as he's now posted 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Royal Palm Beach's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tommy Tipton iii led the charge by rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Royal Palm Beach also got a significant boost from Demetrice Rolle, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 115 yards.
Leonard's defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-9 Suncoast and 1-9 Dr. Joaquin Garcia (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 42.5% over those games). As for Royal Palm Beach, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
Leonard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Royal Palm Beach also has no future games currently scheduled.
