After flying high against the Enloe Eagles last Tuesday, the Panther Creek Catamounts came back down to earth. Panther Creek fell to Leesville Road 85-81. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Defeat or not, Panther Creek got some senior leadership from Logan Ware who scored 25 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 blocks and Chris Uwayo who scored 29 points. Uwayo scored a full 35.8% of Panther Creek's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Greg Ehlinger, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Panther Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Leesville Road, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Panther Creek will head out on the road to face off against Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jordan has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three matches. As for Leesville Road, they will be playing at home against Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
