Grafton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Tabb Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grafton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 208 points over their last three matchups.
In what's become a running theme this season, Grafton gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They blew past Bruton 69-29 at home. With Grafton ahead 37-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Grafton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alonni Wells out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists. Wells is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Ragland, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Tabb's five-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They walked away with a 43-34 victory over New Kent. The victory was just what Tabb needed coming off of a 59-32 loss in their prior matchup.
Grafton's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. Tabb's record now sits at 6-8.
Grafton took their victory against Tabb in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 52-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grafton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
