The McGavock Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Overton Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McGavock will be strutting in after a win while Overton will be coming in after a loss.
McGavock scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They secured a 60-54 W over Hunters Lane. The victory was a breath of fresh air for McGavock as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Overton won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 62-38 defeat at the hands of Hillsboro. It was the first time this season that Overton let down their fans at home.
McGavock's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Overton, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-3.
McGavock barely slipped by Overton in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 66-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for McGavock since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
