Breann Lipold made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Payton LaRouche was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Payton Mulvanny was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Elsinore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, West Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Temescal Canyon, falling 18-2.

West Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Elsinore has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.8 hits per game. It's a different story for West Valley, though, as they've been averaging 12.6 hits. Given Elsinore's sizable advantage in that area, the Mustangs will need to find a way to close that gap.
Elsinore got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April against West Valley by a conclusive 16-1 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
