After three games on the road, Central Heights is heading back home. The Central Heights Vikings and the Osawatomie Trojans will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Central Heights will be strutting in after a win while Osawatomie will be coming in after a defeat.
Central Heights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They snuck past Mission Valley with a 66-60 victory. That six points margin sets a new team best for Central Heights this season.
Meanwhile, Osawatomie unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Erie by a score of 44-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Osawatomie has suffered yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Osawatomie saw an underclassman step up: Jasper Sallee scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Stevenson, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Central Heights' win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Osawatomie, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Central Heights took their win against Osawatomie when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 56-36. Will Central Heights repeat their success, or does Osawatomie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
