The Peniel Baptist Academy Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Peniel Baptist Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Peniel Baptist Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt First Coast Christian on Tuesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Knights. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Kenna Cone made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Alexis Peacock was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Zurn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Peniel Baptist Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask P.K. Yonge). They blew past North Marion 24-5 on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Blue Wave with their most commanding win of the season.
P.K. Yonge got a massive performance out of Jessica Bain, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Mickinzi Anderson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.
P.K. Yonge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Peniel Baptist Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
P.K. Yonge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Peniel Baptist Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. It's a different story for P.K. Yonge, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Peniel Baptist Academy's sizable advantage in that area, the Blue Wave will need to find a way to close that gap.
Peniel Baptist Academy took their win against P.K. Yonge in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
