The Conestoga Christian Cougars lost against Linville Hill back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Conestoga Christian took a serious blow against Linville Hill, falling 58-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Conestoga Christian has scored all season.
Linville Hill was led to victory by Stephen Smucker and Giovanni Sejuste. Smucker scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Sejuste dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Sejuste's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jerome Stoltzfus, who scored 13 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Conestoga Christian and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Linville Hill, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conestoga Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Dayspring Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Noah Huxta and Paul Hurst. Linville Hill will be home for the holidays to greet Coventry Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
