The Christian Academy Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season. They breezed by Hannah-Pamplico on the road to the tune of 55-22. Given Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Hannah-Pamplico is ranked 266th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Christian Academy was led to victory by Carly Belle Jackson and Grace Owens. Jackson dropped a double-double on ten rebounds and ten steals, while Owens dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. Jackson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Hodo, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Coincidentally, Christian Academy and Hannah-Pamplico will both be playing Johnson County the next time they take the court. Christian Academy will head out to face Johnson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hannah-Pamplico will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
