It's playoff time, and Fort Thomas had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the El Capitan Eagles 60-29. The Apaches have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 21 games by 27 points or more this season.

Adaia Lorenzo was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jamie Johnson, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 10 points and six boards.

Fort Thomas smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 31 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matchups.

Fort Thomas pushed their record up to 28-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points over those games. As for El Capitan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.

Coming up, Fort Thomas will challenge Baboquivari at 5:00 p.m. on February 21st. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Lorenzo and Kara Baptisto. El Capitan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
