Baseball Recap: Omaha North Wins Going Away Against Omaha South

Omaha North had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Omaha South Packers 13-4 on Wednesday. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Chance Kinman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Omaha North is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Kinman was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since April 4th.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Max Bolouvi, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jacob Markham, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Omaha North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They are 5-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Omaha North now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Omaha South, they dropped their record down to 12-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
