Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hammond). They blew past the Sumner Cowboys 53-32 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tornadoes have posted since January 30th.

Hammond's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Sumner, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Hammond won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ponchatoula at 6:20 p.m. on Friday. As for Sumner, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
