The Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Northview Academy 93-69. Considering Veritas Collegiate Academy has won five matches by more than 23 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Macqell Freeman was his usual excellent self, scoring 36 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Majesty Dawson, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and three steals.
Veritas Collegiate Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Northview Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
Veritas Collegiate Academy will be playing at home against Washington County at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northview Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fulton at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
