After flying high against the Marathon Dolphins last Saturday, the St. Brendan Sabres came back down to earth. St. Brendan was beaten by Doral Academy 96-31 on Tuesday. St. Brendan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-20.
Despite the defeat, St. Brendan had strong showings from Sofia Toro, who scored 12 points, and Jaden Castro, who scored eight points.
St. Brendan's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Doral Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Brendan will take on Keys Gate at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keys Gate comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Doral Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmer Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Palmer Trinity will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Doral Academy is ranked 22nd).
