Doral Academy waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took their match with ease, bagging a 71-21 win over the Mater Biscayne Academy Wildcats. The Firebirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 24 points or more this season.

Ethan Fernandez was his usual excellent self, going 10 of 12 en route to 22 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was James Logan, who posted eight points.

Mater Biscayne Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being MATTHEW RAMOS, who put up 11 points. That was a full 52.4% of Mater Biscayne Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of JAYDEN IGLESIAS, who posted seven points.

Doral Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Mater Biscayne Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Doral Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-47 win against Somerset Prep on the 19th. As for Mater Biscayne Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 73-49 loss against Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) on the 26th.
