The KIPP King Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 27 points or more this season. They took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 78-43 win over Valley Christian. The win was some much needed relief for KIPP King as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
KIPP King got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ja'mauri Woodfolk out in front who scored 24 points. The game was Woodfolk's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Ledezma, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds.
KIPP King's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Valley Christian, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-8.
KIPP King will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hayward at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th. Valley Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Making Waves Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
