Claiborne Academy had won six straight  games  and  Kyler Monk did his part to make it seven on Friday. Everything went the Rebels' way against the Tensas Academy Chiefs as they made off with  a  48-28 victory for which the team can thank  Monk, who rushed for 71 yards and a pair of  scores, and also threw for 112 yards and two  touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. He has been hot, having also posted two or more  rushing touchdowns the last six times he's  played.
Claiborne Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Tensas Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Claiborne Academy will face off against Union Christian Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
