Everything went their way against Coral Reef on Monday as Lourdes Academy made off with a 49-29 win. The victory was nothing new for Lourdes Academy as they're now sitting on ten straight.
It was another big night for Luciana Picasso, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Sandoval, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Lourdes Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Coral Reef, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Lourdes Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Miami at 5:00 p.m. on January 9th. North Miami will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 331st, while Lourdes Academy is ranked 86th). As for Coral Reef, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Dade at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
