Newton is 10-0 against Scott Central since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Newton Tigers will stay at home for another game and welcome the Scott Central Rebels at 4:00 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Newton strolled past Lake with points to spare, taking the game 41-23.
Scott Central posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clarkdale 57-25 on the road.
Scott Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mariah Bulter, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashanti Murrell, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Newton's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Scott Central, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
