This season hasn't been kind to the Furr Brahmans, who are still winless after their 11th matchup. They were beaten by Wheatley 73-14 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Furr has suffered since November 28, 2023.
Wheatley found their leader in underclassman Jamie Solomon, who scored 27 points along with four steals. Solomon has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Breedlove, who scored 11 points along with seven steals.
Furr's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Wheatley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.
Furr won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Forest at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Wheatley, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Washington at 11:30 a.m. Washington is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
