The State College Little Lions won the last time they faced the Central Dauphin East Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. State College came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 59-51.
State College's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Torbic, who scored 12 points along with three blocks and two steals. Torbic has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Price, who scored 12 points.
State College's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10. As for Central Dauphin East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
State College has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Rams at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Central Dauphin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. Central Dauphin East will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Pennsylvania (Lower Dauphin is ranked 242nd, while the Panthers are ranked 264th).
