Basketball Recap: Cypress Ranch Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Cypress Ranch extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Samantha Truitt. The Cypress Ranch Mustangs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cypress Lakes Spartans on Saturday, sneaking past 35-32 thanks in part to Truitt, who went 5 for 12 en route to 16 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Cypress Lakes still got an impressive performance from Makennah Alexis, who posted 13 points. Alexis has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 64 times she's played. Briayza Addison was another key player, putting up seven points.

Cypress Ranch has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. As for Cypress Lakes, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-10.

Cypress Ranch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 34-21 victory against Cypress Woods on the 29th. As for Cypress Lakes, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-47 defeat against Bridgeland on the 29th.
