The Saegertown Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Cochranton Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought match, but Saegertown had to settle for a 64-61 defeat against Conneaut Area.
Meanwhile, Cochranton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 55-39 win over Jamestown. The victory was just what Cochranton needed coming off of a 59-33 loss in their prior matchup.
Cochranton relied on the efforts of Walker Carroll, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Dawson Carroll, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 3 assists. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Andrew Albert was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Saegertown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Cochranton, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Saegertown didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Cochranton in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 65-61 win.
