Catholic Central strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 23-8 margin over the Christian Eagles. Considering the Cougars have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

M Schaendorf was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. R Lyons was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Catholic Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Catholic Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Christian, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic Central will square off against Thornapple Kellogg at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Christian, they will take on Ottawa Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
