Hononegah is 9-1 against Freeport since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Indians are taking a road trip to  challenge the Pretzels  at 4:30  p.m. Hononegah is coming into the  game hot, having won their last six games.
Hononegah's pitching crew heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Saturday. They put the hurt on Biggsville West Central with a sharp  12-0 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six  runs or more this season.

 Zoie Calhoun made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  she posted four  strikeouts, the most she's  had since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Kaelyn Kelly was a standout: she got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted since back in April.  Peyton Klikno was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Freeport, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Wednesday. They came out on top against Rockford Auburn by a score of  6-3  on Friday. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Pretzels as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
 Diem Beach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Quinn Krzeminiski, who  fired off two  home runs and three  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Hononegah's record now sits at 20-3. As for Freeport, their record is now 7-20.
 Hononegah was able to grind out a solid  win over Freeport in their previous meeting  back in April, winning  12-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
