Pacific waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They blew past the Veritas Christian Academy Eagles 13-3. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Jake Collier spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Connor Mooney and Cayden Matthes did most of the damage at the plate: Mooney got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Matthes got on base in three of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Those four runs gave Matthes a new career-high. Grant Kossuth was another key player, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Pacific's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Pacific will be playing at home against St. Francis Borgia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Veritas Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
