 Eldon was dominant in the first set, but otherwise had just enough against a tough Hallsville squad. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-16,  28-26.
 Among those leading the charge was   Reyna Taylor, who  had 14  digs.
 Meanwhile, Boonville lost  3-0 to Osage on Tuesday. The Pirates have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 While Boonville had to take the loss, they sure made a game of it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 26-24,  25-19.
 Eldon's win was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-2. As for Boonville, they now  have a losing record at 5-6.
 Eldon beat Boonville 2-0  when the teams last played  back in October of 2023. Will Eldon repeat their success,  or does  Boonville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
