Pacifica and Grant squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Pacifica had to settle for second. They took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grant Pacers. The Tritons' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Pacifica saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alijah Royster picked up 112 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Dominic Duran, who threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns.
It was another big night for Luke Alexander, who threw for 309 yards and three touchdowns for Grant.
