The Sheehan Titans just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Shelton Gaels at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Sheehan is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Gaels in Connecticut (the Titans are ranked 12th, while the Gaels are ranked 129th).
After a string of five wins, Sheehan's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Newington by a score of 46-44. Sheehan has not had much luck with the Nor'easters recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Shelton came up short against the Trojans on Friday and fell 37-28.
Sheehan's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4. As for Shelton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Sheehan against the Gaels when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 66-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sheehan since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
