Calvary Chapel Academy received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 46-29 to Merritt Island Christian. Calvary Chapel Academy has struggled against Merritt Island Christian recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Trey Nevad was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds for Merritt Island Christian. Nevad is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Isaiah Scott was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Calvary Chapel Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Merritt Island Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Calvary Chapel Academy will be playing at home against Synergy Magnet K12 at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Merritt Island Christian on the road again on Tuesday and play against Calvary Chapel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
