6A Central Valley recap October 8, 2013
Sprague added to the longest winning streak in 6A Central Valley this week by beating South Salem, 41-30. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
McKay made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,987 from 10,422. The advance stemmed from a 75-23 victory over the Scots last week.
Thomas Harris was a force in the backfield as Sprague defeated the Saxons.
hayden gosling threw for 272 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 12-19 with 1 interception.
Gosling put up the best numbers in passing as McNary beat North Salem. Gosling's favorite target this week was tanner walker, who caught 6 passes for 98 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback gosling of the Celtics is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,016. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Devin Rediger. The Sprague star has 20 catches for 324 yards.
Next week's game between McNary and Jay Minyard's team will feature an aerial matchup as gosling tests his arm against Rediger's defensive ability.
The Olympians are currently in second, while Isaac Parker's team is in third.
The league will see a high scoring game when Sprague and the Celtics face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Olympians comes in having scored 177 this season, while McNary has scored 172. Sprague scored 41 points last week as it bested South Salem.
