McCormick typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday C.A. Johnson proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 63-53 victory over the McCormick Chiefs. The win was familiar territory for the Hornets, who have now won six contests in a row.

C.A. Johnson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Milton McCray, who posted 14 points along with six assists and four steals. Those six assists gave McCray a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiassiac Germany, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

McCormick lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Daruis Houston, who went 9-for-19 en route to 23 points. Terrence Cartledge was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

C.A. Johnson's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points over those games. As for McCormick, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.

C.A. Johnson has already played their next matchup, a 54-51 victory against McBee on the 22nd. McCormick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
