Central posted their closest win yet this season on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-63 victory over Dade Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jodan Wright out in front who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Suarez, who scored 18 points.
Miami Springs' loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Miami Springs didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory.
