St. Thomas More Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 69-29 win over Thales Academy Rolesville. St. Thomas More Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 25 points or more this season.
It was another big night for John Paul Mack, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Mack, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Friendship Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
St. Thomas More Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Friendship Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.
St. Thomas More Academy came up short against the Falcons in their previous matchup back in January, falling 46-37. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Friendship Christian's Eugene Amadi, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
