Given Mountain House's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Beyer is ranked 488th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Mountain House to victory were Coldin Parker and Jordan Assefa. Parker scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, while Assefa scored 19 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Assefa has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cedrick Major, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Mountain House is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Beyer, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain House will take on Los Banos at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Beyer, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Lathrop at 7:15 p.m. One thing working in Lathrop's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
