After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bartlett, Memphis Home Education Association were happy to have found some success on Monday. They had just enough and edged Arlington out 39-36. This was payback for Memphis Home Education Association, who suffered a 49-38 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Arlington saw an underclassman step up: Taylor Miller scored 11 points along with 4 steals. Miller scored a full 30.6% of Arlington's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Brown, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
Memphis Home Education Association's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Arlington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Memphis Home Education Association will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Evangelical Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Arlington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Memphis Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
