After flying high against The Daniel Academy Lions last Friday, the Whitefield Academy Lions came back down to earth. Whitefield Academy was dealt a 54-20 loss at the hands of Faith Christian Academy on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Whitefield Academy has scored all season.
Natalie Jones and Caroline Wilson certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Jones scored eight points, while Wilson scored nine points.
Whitefield Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Faith Christian Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Whitefield Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Shawnee Mission Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cornerstone Family at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
