After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Dawson finally came back down to earth  on Friday. They took a  blow against the Manvel Mavericks, falling  48-7. The  contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring  match so far this season.

 Dawson's loss  ended  a  five-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 6-4. As for Manvel, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dawson will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ridge Point at 7:00  p.m.  on November 14th. As for Manvel, they will square off against Dobie at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Manvel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 42  points per game  this season.
