McCurdy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Mesa Vista Trojans get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Celestino Salazar-Archuleta and Cruz Martinez were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Salazar-Archuleta pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Martinez struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Salazar-Archuleta went 1-for-2 with one home run, while Martinez went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Ryan Valdez was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremaya Roybal, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

McCurdy's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Mesa Vista, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Coincidentally, McCurdy and Mesa Vista will both be playing Mora the next time they take the field. The Bobcats will host the Rangers/Rangerettes at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
