The Indian Rocks Christian Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the St. Joseph Academy Fighting Flashes on Thursday. Indian Rocks Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Indian Rocks Christian barely beat Hollins the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Royals 13-1 on Tuesday.

Mason Stout made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Quinn Taylor and Noah Mortellite did most of the damage at the plate: Taylor went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run, while Mortellite got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most RBI Taylor has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Logan Akin, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.
Indian Rocks Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Academy got the win against Interlachen on Monday by a conclusive 8-2. The Fighting Flashes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.
Cuyler Walls got the start for St. Joseph Academy and what a start it was: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 6.2 innings pitched. Walls has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Cullen Garner was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Ryan Wade also deserves some recognition as he hit his first doubles of the season.
St. Joseph Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Indian Rocks Christian, their record now sits at 7-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Indian Rocks Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like St. Joseph Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
