After having lost a blowout in their previous game against C.H. Yoe, the Holland Hornets were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They skirted past Bruceville-Eddy 30-28.
Bruceville-Eddy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylie Rodriguez, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Rodriguez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Elaina Mcculloch was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 15 rebounds and 5 steals.
Holland pushed their record up to 3-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Bruceville-Eddy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
Holland will take on Florence at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bruceville-Eddy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oglesby at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
